michael may?
He had a lifelong involvement with cricket at all levels in Hampshire and was described by Christopher Martin-Jenkins in The Telegraph in 1996 as:
"...a tireless worker for the county's young players..."
Michael May's enthusiasm for cricket in the region is demonstrated by the range of offices he held at various times throughout his life;
