Grants awarded in March 2021

The MHM Committee met (via Zoom - so in a suitably socially-distanced manner) at the end of March to review the various applications it had received over the winter period.

One of the benefits of our new website is the ability to post more easily about our activities (a truly radical idea, I know) but one where we had not been as active as we would have liked to be.

At some point, the website manager will provide a commentary on all the clubs that have received grants in the history of the charity but that is for another day and another post.

This post reflects a number of thoughts on the part of the charity. Firstly, it will give individuals and clubs an idea of the variety of projects that can secure funding. Secondly and more prosaically, it is an attempt by the website manager to be more organised in terms of communicating what the charity is doing but thirdly, there is the important matter of openness and transparency surrounding the activities of the Foundation.

So, without further preamble, here is the latest grants news / awards from the March 2021 meeting.

  • Alton CC - part-funding for the running of junior coaching courses

  • Portsmouth and Southsea CC - part-funding of new nets and new flexi stumps for junior cricket

  • Compton and Chandlers Ford CC - contribution to nets and Nets and artificial pitch refurbishment

The Committee meets twice a year (in Spring and in Autumn) and details about the information required to submit a request for funds can be provided by the Secretary. You can contact the Secretary via the contact us section of this website.
